Quit playing with my emotions TWD!

Glenn

As one of my favorite characters on one of my favorite show’s, I’ve been mentally preparing myself for the upcoming season finale in which Glenn is quite possibly going to get his brains bashed in.

BUT, just as there’s hope for John Snow’s return, there seems to be a glimmer of hope that Glenn might make it through the finale! In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn, gushes about his excitement regarding Negan’s appearance on the show. Negan…the man who brings an end to Glenn’s character arc in the comics.

“For me, his arrival is awesome,” says Yeun to EW. “We’ve been waiting for this person for a long time, and in the comic books, he in a way brings a level of stakes that are kind of unmatched. And so, for me, for Negan to come into the show is, to say nothing less, f—ing awesome.”

Wait, WHAT? Now, I have to agree with Glenn that Negan’s appearance is awesome. Not because he is slated to kill my favorite character, but that Negan will be played by Jeffery Dean Morgan. Creating an amazing cross-over between another great show rooted in fantasy — Supernatural.

Now here’s where it gets interesting. Yeun also hinted that the show may be making another departure from the comics. “I know people are going to always go, ‘Negan kills Glenn in the comics,’ but rest assured that we don’t necessarily do what’s in the comics,” Yeun told EW.

While the script has yet to take such a drastic turn from its foundational literature, it would be an interesting way to surprise an audience expecting the death of a beloved character. So, if Glenn doesn’t die…who will (because someone has to..it’s the season finale of The Walking Dead!)? I can’t wait to find out!
